2020 Mid Autumn Festival in China
China’s Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on month 8 day 15 of China’s lunar calendar (in September or October). Mid-Autumn Festival 2020 is on 1st Oct., it it the same date with 2020 Chinese national holiday.
To many Chinese, The Mid-Autumn Festival is still the second most important festival after Chinese New Year and it means family reunion and peace. The festival is celebrated when the moon is believed to be the biggest and fullest. To us, a full moon is a symbol of prosperity, happiness, and family reunion.
Yesterday, staffs in YAEN also celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival by Mooncake gambling (we called Bo bing). The "Bo Bing" game requires are six dice and a china bowl. Just throw the dice into the bowl - and the different pips you get stand for different ranks of awards you will win.
